To Mini Or Not To Mini!
Now the territory gets a little more circumscribed and I just must observe the significant other's protocol. Well, perhaps it's more the Managing Director's Wife's protocol but all I know is that the office party dresses that I pick will have to be "appropriate" if you know what I mean. No thigh baring, cleavage contest winning styles and the less form fitting the better. Maybe, I'll stick to the rules this year and then again...
Well, let's try Sak's Fifth Avenue. They're usually good for this sort of assignment. Ooooo. I just found a "must have" dress! I'm not sure about the protocols. Take a look for yourself and see what you think. It's a Michael Kors (always great!) Shantung Mini Dress. (right there a no-no. No minis, ladies please!) It's in Italian silk shift accented with racy lacing detail at the center front. Sleeveless in coral. It's my length, dammit so I'm getting it. (Shush!) I think this is my favorite dress this year for office parties! How fun is this going to be?

Yup, this one will be perfect. A Teri Jon One Shoulder Cocktail Dress. Gathered at a single strap with a crumb-catcher neckline. It's a typical LBD to quiet 'em down but I like it OK. Sak's item # 0424786911068 at $520.
Alright, one more sizzler. Love this one too. Really simple but a grab 'em look. Cynthia Steffe Ponte Mini Dress in natural (white) rayon/nylon/spandex, short shift accented with a button-topped v-neckline. They say short and sweet and I agree which just suits me fine. Sak's 0437196053624 $230.
Well, if those didn't do it, this one probably will seal my reputation for ever but I can't resist it! It's a gorgeous little mini dress by Adam + Eve. A foil print Mini Dress in sepia. The material is foil stamped lace draped around the shoulders. It really is quite short! Bow tied back. Sleeveless. Sak's item # 0477191271326 $395.
I wonder if I will survive the unsaid critique of my office party dresses for the parties coming up? Maybe I can find some new allies in my single handed attack on the status quo. I sure hope so - it's lonely at the top!
